A Consecrated Life
Consecrate
1. to make or declare sacred; set apart or dedicate to the service of a deity: to consecrate a new church building.
2. to make (something) an object of honor or veneration; hallow: a custom consecrated by time.
3. to devote or dedicate to some purpose
This definition is according to dictionary.com. In a message this week on YouTube (yes... on YouTube...) Pastor Tim Brady talks about the importance of consecration. You can see the full clip right here if you would like. In the Christian walk it is not only an act of setting apart for a purpose- but it actually means cleaving to that which we believe is true. I don't want to be just set apart- I want to be forever cleaving to that hand which is already holding me. May the Lord help each of us grow more consecrated in our daily walk to grow more like Him.
